There are at least 7 types of sterilization processes (the list below includes some of the manufacturers):

1.       Steam:  Getinge, STERIS, Tuttnauer, Midmark, SciCan, Porter, Consolidated Stills & Sterilizers, etc.

2.       Formaldehyde:  Barnstead (Chemiclave)

3.       Dry Heat:  Steri-Dent, Alfa Medical, Dentronix, etc.

4.       Gas plasma:  ASP (STERRAD)

5.       EO Gas:  STERIS, 3M and Andersen

6.       Ozone:  TSO3 (Skytron)

7.       Peracetic acid:  STERIS (System 1)
