Distilled water is water heated to boiling point, vaporized, cooled,
condensed, and collected so that no impurities are reintroduced.
Most sterilizer manufacturers require that distilled water is used for
steam sterilizers. Using tap water will adversely affect the
quality of the steam and cause sterilization failures and possibly
