Our
test reports are pre-addressed and are designed to be very simple to
use. After the sterilization cycle has been processed, verify that
the Steam Integrator
(comes
with the spore test inside the pouch) has completed color change to
match the black arrow. This provides immediate verification that
sterilization has taken place. If the Integrator is a shade of
gray, sterility has not been reached. Rerun the spore test and also
physically monitor the cycle.
When completed, enclose the test packet in the pre-addressed postage
paid envelope and mail it to the ATS
laboratory. The test is immediately processed, and the
original test report (with your operator’s signature) will be
returned upon completion. The storage portfolio we provide
conveniently stores the test reports. The
autoclave log book
provided is
to be used with every sterilization cycle. This record book comes
with the storage portfolio for your convenience. If your facility
was to have an inspection from a health department, OSHA, an
accreditation facility, insurance firm, or another healthcare
facility, you will have all the verified test reports and sterilizer
record book available for inspection.
Please note: having spore tests performed in a timely manner can
save hundreds of dollars in fines and will act in your defense
should litigation occur.

In-Office and Mail-To-Lab Testing!

Bowie-Dick Test
Packs should be used daily to evaluate the
performance of air-removal (vacuum) system of
dynamic pre-vacuum type sterilizers. Available
as test cards or preassembled test packs.
Internal CI’s should be used within
each pouch or package, tray, or container. Class 5
Integrators should be used in conjunction with
physical monitoring and biological indicator
testing for verifying the efficacy of a
sterilization system. (See AAMI ST79:2006)

sterile processing departments. This ensures
accountability and allows operators to trace
